Age 2025-26
Every year teams are required to purchase season specific materials. For Age season it will include a challenge board, specialized Lego pieces to create the mission models, and engineer workbooks.

Hub
Every robot is powered by a Hub unit. The Hub has 6 power ports for motors and sensors, executes the downloaded programs during competition, and has the vital gyroscope used for accurate motion.

FIRST Table
Robot challenges are on very specific tables requiring exact dimensions. Portable tables allow for team set-up and prep at competitions.

Competition
Every season of mission completion works towards Competitions 1 & 2! Teams compete for local up to world champions. They learn execution skills under pressure and build friendships across the world.

Tournaments
Winter and Spring offer tournaments each team can participate in. So Cal Showdown is a team favorite requiring entrance fees, a new board, and supplies to modify the missions.

Deduction
FIRST is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations to teams can be used as a tax-deduction.
